Client results are coming soon. I would rather show you real ones than made-up ones. Five years of teaching, and the stories I want here are the ones I haven't earned from you yet.

Sound familiar

You're not inflexible. You're just tired of being told to relax.

  • Your life is go, go, go, and the first thing cut is you.
  • Your body isn't as young as it once was, and you feel it getting out of the truck.
  • Stress sits in your jaw, your shoulders, and your sleep.
  • You picture a "yogi" and you don't check a single box.
  • You lift, you play, you coach — but bending over is the hard part.
  • Sitting still for five minutes sounds worse than a heavy set.
How I coach

Four things I actually do.

I read the room

Not every session goes exactly the way it was planned, and that's okay. Some days you want your strength tested. Some days you need to slow down and actually tune in. I watch what shows up and I teach that body, not the plan on paper.

Every body is different

There is no standard shape you have to fit. Tight hips, an old shoulder, knees that complain on the stairs — we work with what you've got and build from there. Progress, not postures.

A safe space to explore

You get to show up as you are, and that is enough. No mirrors to compare yourself in, no one watching to see if you can touch your toes yet. Just room to learn, grow, and have fun with it.

Adapt and overcome

We change the shape, the pace, the breath — whatever it takes. What we don't do is quit. That's the one rule, and it's the reason people who swore yoga wasn't for them are still on the mat a year later.

"If you need something - say something. You don't have to suffer through a workout."

One bead at a time

A mala has 108 beads. Nobody counts them all at once.

Step oneTell me where you're stiff

Send a message with what hurts, what you want back, and how much time you actually have. No forms full of goals you don't believe in.

Step twoYour first session

In person here in O'Fallon or online from your living room. We find your baseline — breath, balance, what moves and what doesn't — with zero judgment about any of it.

Step threeOne bead at a time

We string sessions together the way I string a mala: one at a time, in order, nothing skipped. Strength weeks, slow weeks, breath work when your head is loud.

Step fourThe "I'm doing it" moment

It arrives quietly. You balance for a full minute. You sit in silence without going crazy. You reach your toes and realize you stopped negotiating with your body.

What you get back

More ability. That's the whole ask, and it's a good one.

Move like the body is still yours

Hips, hamstrings, shoulders, spine. The everyday range you lost sitting in a truck, a chair, or a kid's car seat comes back.

Balance that holds up

One foot, one minute, no wall. It sounds small until you're on a ladder, a trail, or a wet driveway in January.

A nervous system with a brake pedal

Breath and mantra meditation you can use in a parking lot before you walk into the house. Stress goes down, sleep gets better.

Age with more ability, not less

That's the whole point. Keep doing everything you do now — the hikes, the lifting, the wrestling on the living room floor — just better.

The objections

Everything you were about to tell me.

I can't even touch my toes.

Good. That's a starting point, not a disqualifier. Flexibility is what yoga gives you, not what it asks of you at the door.

I can't quiet my mind. Ever.

Nobody can, at first. That's why I teach mantra meditation with a mala — your hands and your breath get a job, so your brain has something to hold onto.

I'll be the least experienced person in the room.

Most of my favorite clients walked in saying exactly that. Nobody is watching you. If it still feels like too much, we start one-on-one or online.

I'm an athlete, I lift. Is this too soft?

Tell me you want to be pushed and you will be. Plenty of sessions leave strong people shaking. Others are deliberately slow, because that's the part you're missing.

My body has limits — surgeries, old injuries.

Then say something. Seriously: if you need something, say something. We adapt the shape. You never have to suffer through a session to prove anything.

I don't have an hour.

Then we don't build an hour. Short, honest sessions you actually do beat perfect sessions you skip. Go-go-go schedules are the norm here, not the exception.

Emma Boston

After only a couple of months of my own practice I could see improvement in how I moved and controlled my body — and I knew I wanted to bring that same growth to my community.
